Mehdi Mellah

Mehdi Mellah (lic.iur. KUL 2000, DES Private International Law ULB 2001) is a member of the Dutch speaking Brussels bar since 2001. He has extensive experience in both state court and arbitration proceedings in various fields of (international) commercial law, a.o. distribution law, construction law, ICT and post acquisition litigation and works in French, English and Dutch. He has been involved as counsel in several arbitration cases under ICC, CEPANI and ad hoc rules and also serves as arbitrator. He acts in judicial proceedings related to international arbitration (annulment and enforcement of arbitral awards), both in Belgium and France.

  • Author of the Chapter on Trusts in the Commented Belgian Code of Private International law (to be published).
  • Co-author (with S. Willemart) of the chapter on Franchising published in the Traité Pratique de Droit Commercial (2010) (reference book on Belgian commercial law).
  • Research on commercial Private International Law for the Chronique de droit international privé appliqué aux affaires, published in the R.D.A.I. (France).
